Design / Planning
We invite you to bring your plans, ideas and thoughts to our design team. The initial consultation will help Generation-3 to understand your project. With this information, we can present you with a view of what is involved. We have over 400 exciting Linwood design plans for you to explore. Contemporary, post and beam, timber frame and traditional style homes all categorized for easy viewing. We offer free custom design options or modifications to an existing Linwood plan. By channelling your ideas into a short list, the project begins to take shape.
A Design Development Agreement (DDA) is an evolved step committing our experience to your project to help you make informed decisions. Once you decide on a plan or a set of comparison plans or new custom plans, our design team will help you evaluate how the designs meet your new home expectations. Material options will show how they affect building costs. 3D design drawings will be prepared to allow a full view of the exterior and interior. We will review your proposed budget and make a detailed 5-page budget document. Timelines will be established linking the various “trades” to your project. Your property will be inspected to prepare a site plan that complies with township zoning requirements, septic/well location, needed services and access points.
